Heat Transfers

Today, I did a bunch more dye lab, mad scientist style work, but it didn't really look so cool, so no photos from that. However, I also worked on this sleeve:







Using a specific kind of dye, I painted the dye on really cheap, low absorbency paper. I then cut the paper to the shape I wanted, and using a heat press, I transfered the dye from the paper, to the sleeve. The hardest part about this process is that you never know what the transfered outcome color will be. The color of the dye on the paper always looks like the bottom of a paint sink, but then the transfered color ends up being pink somehow. I have to find tune my colors somehow.
