Meet Old Bessy

So, after my crit, my advisor suggested I ask the department to supply me a dressform, The thing I have been using is a display dress form made from styrofoam and not something I'm supposed to pin into, so I had to stop using it. So now, I have Old Bessy:



She is in pretty bad shape, and she is older than me! She is a 1984 model! The first thing I did for her was make her some arms. Her new arms are pretty burly because I copied the sleeve pattern from one of my sweaters as a guide, and it was a tad big. The arms are stuffed with the mounds of plastic bags my family sent me way back in sophmore year (thanks Will and Kathy).
